An old lady sat at the inner gate of the Srimukhalingam Temple in Srikakulam district (Andhra Pradesh, India) resting a little before she entered the sacred inner sanctum of the temple. Built to venerate Lord Shiva, this temple is one of the trio built by King Kamarnava II of the Eastern Ganga dynasty in the 8th century and is considered a very important Hindu pilgrimage center. Her elegant dance like hand posture and youthful gaze complimented the graceful figurines adorning the wall of the ancient temple. Yet, the signs of age creeping upon both their visage. I captured this enchanting frame hoping to immortalize the lady at the divine gate.
